Three years ago my aunt was diagnosed with colon cancer. There is no history of colon cancer in my family, but sure enough she had it. They told her at the time of diagnosis that it probably was not terminal, but that it would be a fairly rough battle as she fought through the treatments. It was difficult as she went through chemo treatments every other day because she was very sick, tired, and had no energy. The type of chemo that she had did not cause her to lose her hair, but it did take a lot out of her physically.
She went through treatments for a year, and then they went down to every other week eventually. Now that it is three years later, I see my aunt and even though she is not doing any treatments, she still has a very low energy level, and the cancer even though in remission right now has taken so much out of her. She is very thin, gets cold easily, and does not look very well. This disease has taken so much life out of my aunt. It is so important to take care of your body. If that means doing a colon cleanse a few times a year, I think it is worth it. I personally would much rather doing that, than dealing with the effects of cancer for the rest of my life.
